Pianist Javier Rodriguez and vocalist Noëlle Vanyi are set to begin their European tour “Songs for a Fragile World” this October, presenting a program that merges classical performance with environmental awareness. The eight-city tour, running from late 2024 through June 2025, marks their first major collaboration.

The centerpiece of their program is a four-part suite addressing environmental themes. Opening with “Elegy,” a meditation on planetary fragility, the performance moves into “Underwater,” where Rodriguez employs open-piano techniques to create soundscapes suggesting rising waters. The suite continues with “Shakti,” exploring themes of natural renewal, before concluding with “An Anthem to Hope,” a choral piece focusing on collective action.

Rodriguez, who regularly shares updates on his Instagram and YouTube, brings substantial experience to the project. The Spanish-born pianist, whose work can be found on Spotify, studied under Rafael Orozco and has earned two Tony nominations. His work spans classical performance, ballet composition, and film scoring, with notable collaborations including projects with Ravi Shankar and Modou Toure.

His touring partner, Spanish-French artist Noëlle Vanyi, shares her artistic journey on Instagram and releases music through Spotify. After establishing herself in London’s music scene, she gained wider recognition opening for Antonio José at the Starlite Festival. Her style uniquely blends electronic elements with operatic vocals and multilingual lyrics.

The tour begins at Brussels’ Jardín Musical on October 11, 2024, followed by performances at London’s FesTeLõn (November 9), Barcelona’s Teatre Mes Petit (November 23), and Edinburgh Society of Musicians (December 6). In 2025, the tour continues at Piano Académie Louvre in Paris (February 7), Czech Philharmonic Hall in Prague (April 5), Vienna’s MozartHaus (May 31), before concluding at London’s Royal Academy of Music (June 7). Each performance runs 75 minutes without intermission, designed to create an uninterrupted musical journey through environmental themes.

The artists have arranged for tour proceeds to benefit Greenpeace, and they plan to release an accompanying album in early 2025. Tickets are available through javierrodriguez.org.
