Flame of Life Continues Their Lazer Journey with ‘Cavaral’

Just when you thought the lazer sound couldn’t evolve further, Flame of Life kicks off 2025 with their latest single “Cavaral” – a track that proves this pioneering band isn’t done pushing boundaries. If anything, the distinctive sound they’ve spent a decade perfecting feels more vital than ever, and “Cavaral” hints at even more fascinating developments to come this year.

It’s hard to believe it’s been nearly ten years since Flame of Life first emerged in 2015, reshaping experimental rock with what we now know as the “lazer” sound. Born in the depths of the underground scene, the initial spark between vocalist Fazer and guitarist The Bottle quickly ignited into something bigger when they found kindred spirits in bassist Dead Flower and DJ Arxonix. Together, they set out to break every rock convention they could find.

Their raw 2016 debut “Atomic Cocktail” and the cleverly self-titled follow-up in 2017 laid the groundwork, but the real magic started happening when drummer The Cowboy joined in 2019. The addition of electric guitarist Amsheah and keyboardist Damien Nolan in 2021 took things to another level entirely, leading to mind-bending projects like “El Kama” (2022) and last year’s “Saturn.”

Now with “Cavaral,” the band reminds us why they’ve always been several steps ahead of the curve. The single manages to embrace everything fans love about their signature lazer sound while somehow finding new sonic territory to explore. It’s an enticing preview of their sixth album, which can’t come soon enough (though we’ll have to wait until late 2025).

“Cavaral” feels both comfortably familiar and refreshingly adventurous – exactly what you’d hope for from a band that’s never been interested in playing it safe. While fans eagerly await tour dates for their upcoming European shows, they can catch the new track on SoundCloud, where the band shares many of their releases, and fans can also follow their YouTube channel and MySpace page.

For a band that’s spent years crafting their own musical language, “Cavaral” suggests that Flame of Life’s vocabulary is still growing. If this single is any indication, 2025 might just be the year they write their most compelling chapter yet.
