As we navigate through the different phases of our lives, there are big hurdles and difficult decisions that we have to make. Part of this is deciding where to go to college and determining our future career paths.
Making such a decision might be difficult or come easily for some people, but the one thing that’s for sure is that the future is constantly changing. Such is the story of Kate Katzman, an Irish-American actress from Philadelphia. As a little girl growing up in Bucks County, PA, she never dreamt that she would become an actress, but fate had other things in store for her.
She always considered herself an animal lover and hence decided she would become a veterinarian at a very young age. In high school, Katzman started to model and continued till her college days. Once her graduation was over, she packed up and moved to Miami, hoping to grow her career further.
From a Shy Girl to the Being on Camera All The Time
“Burt loved to teach, and he helped me break out of my shell. Working with him, I could see the tiny things in a script where you could make an impact.”
Kate Katzman was a shy girl who was never really an extrovert regarding social settings. However, when she was introduced to Burt Reynolds’ master class by a mutual friend, she fell in love with the art. This motivated her to try her luck in the acting industry, and Kate was right in making this decision. Now she’s a world-class actress, making her name prominent in the industry and working to the top.
After the first few gigs, she started working in commercials and was featured in many magazines. Her first big break was the 2015 “Walt Before Mickey” film, where she played the role of Walt Disney’s wife.
Kate Katzman and Her beliefs
“It was quite an experience rubbing shoulders and keeping up with the big boys in Hollywood. It has been exhilarating and enjoyable while learning much more about the craft.”
For Kate Katzman, the journey towards finding your calling is not something that comes on its own, nor do you find it easily. She believes you are the only one who can make these things happen for you, so you should always be actively working towards your goal.
Katzman also follows the ideology of embracing change. She has undergone a series of career changes herself, making her the perfect personality to advocate this belief. Her career has changed from modeling for small-time magazines and companies to act in some of Hollywood’s biggest productions. She has embodied the concept of embracing changes and adapting to them to make them work for her career.
Katzman grew gracefully alongside her career, making her a true teacher on living life with your heart on the sleeve and your mind open to changes.
Another thing that Katzman strongly encourages is being passionate about what you do. Emphasizing it’s extremely crucial to your future, success, and overall well-being. She believes that turning your interests into passion is essential to progress in your personal and professional life. For her, enrolling in the Burt Reynolds Institute for Film and Theatre was on a whim, but it turned out to be something that she loved.
This gave her the confidence boost she needed, recognizing her talents and skills and working on them to become a master at the craft. With a passionate approach to her career, it was more a journey of self-discovery than one where she struggled to make ends meet. Your passion drives you, and with this force behind your career, nothing stops you from achieving greatness.
This is precisely what helped Katzman reach her dreams.
