Gothic is the Most Unique Trend in Jewelry, and Here is Why
Published
3 years agoon

Gothic is a mysterious and intriguing trend in jewelry. It appeals to the old and young, men and women, avid fashionistas and those who prefer to dress in a plain manner. But how much do we actually know about this peculiar trend?
Old-Fashion and New School Gothic
Originally, it occurred in France in the XII century. Its appearance is the result of the aggregate influence of the first institutions, urban communes, and the crusades. At first, the trend affected architecture. Then, it became a dominating power in sculpture, painting and other forms of art. Only after that, it started to shape the world of applied art including clothing and jewelry.
Surprisingly, more than half a millennium later since the time of its origin, Gothic is still a hot topic. However, today the historical and modern meanings of this concept are totally different. While in its earlier day Gothic was intertwined with architecture and the Catholic faith, now it is associated with heavy music and subcultures. At the moment, this style is known for its gloomy emotional color, pessimistic outlook, and somewhat depressing attitude. You can easily recognize those who revere modern Gothic by their outrageous appearance, which building blocks are piercings, black clothes, daring hairstyles and makeup, and predominance of accessories.
Different Sides of Gothic
In laymen’s eyes, gothic is nothing but an amalgamation of hard rock, studs, dark outfits, and heavy makeup. But this perception of Gothic can come only from those who know nothing about the fashion trend, let alone the people who adore it. The truth is that modern Gothic is as different as it can be, and separate types of Gothic are so dissimilar in comparison that it’s impossible to believe that they belong to the same trend.
There are dozens, if not hundreds, types of Gothic. Many of them are relevant only to a handful of people while others have huge armies of followers from all over the world. The study of the sub-trends of Gothic can be the topic of a dissertation. Here, we’ll list just a few types that are the most influential and popular.
Renaissance. Despite black being the golden standard of Gothic, Renaissance Goths don’t shy away from white. When it comes to their jewelry, it is not only silver (with stainless steel, titanium, and tungsten being common for pieces on the cheaper side) but also gold. At the same time, it is often adorned with precious stones. Thanks to the penchant for precious and valuable, Renaissance Gothic jewelry isn’t just gloomy, it is also luxurious.
Androgynous Goth. Jewelry for this subdivision of Gothic is made to be unisex so that boys, girls, and everyone in between could use it to complete their looks. These jewelry items are less ornate and sophisticated than Renaissance ones. Instead, they are intentionally large, loud, and eye-catching. Silver gothic rings that showcase this style often carry floral or geometric patterns, animal motifs, stud-like inlays, as well as gems of a monochrome color palette.
Fetish Goth. Jewelry in this style is even more simplistic. Instead, it puts an accent on everything that is associated with fetish and sexual delights. Its most popular motifs are handcuffs, dog tags, spikes and studs, and the materials are rather inexpensive (faux leather, stainless steel, and even rubber and plastic). Simultaneously, symbols that represent magic are also common in this style.
Vampire Goth. As the name suggests, every symbol that is associated with vampires, death, and the supernatural lay the foundation of this style’s means of self-expression.
Regardless of a specific sub-style, Gothic jewelry enjoys dark and white colors (pops of color are possible as well but these are inevitably in the cold spectrum). Along with that, the recurring themes in rings, pendants, necklaces, bracelets, and all that jazz are skulls, crosses, daggers, snakes, dragons, roses, and crowns.
How to Wear Gothic Jewelry
Despite all of their outrageousness, gothic accessories do not always imply matching clothing. Of course, if you are part of the Goth subculture, the combination of the same-style jewelry and attire will pack the most powerful punch. However, to wear Gothic and Goth accessories with aplomb, it is not at all necessary to become a Goth. Modern fashion makes it possible to fuse different styles of clothing and jewelry in the same look.
For example, to the lace, leather, and velvet inserts in your outfits, you can add a chain necklace or bracelet featuring large links, a skull ring, or an intriguing pendant. Surely, this style is hardly suitable for work or formal events, but it is awesome for wearing casually outside the confinement of the office.
The bottom line, if you enjoy a daring and bold style, adding gothic features to your image is a great idea. But it is important not to go overboard if you don’t wish to look like an avid Goth. Pick an item or two (but smaller ones) if you wish to spruce up your everyday style with something leftfield. Your style will remain restrained but too far from being boring.

Marco De Luca’s LA STAGIONE DECISIVA Is a One-Man Protest Album Built on Decades of Restless Experimentation
Published
1 month agoon
March 29, 2026There’s something inherently stubborn about an artist who spends nearly three decades making music almost entirely on his own terms. Marco De Luca, an Italian singer-songwriter from the small town of Atri in the province of Teramo, has been doing exactly that since the 1990s. His latest album, LA STAGIONE DECISIVA, is the sharpest, most keyboard-driven work he’s ever put together, and it doubles as a pointed critique of the darker corners of modern society.
De Luca’s story starts with Sine, a group he fronted in the ’90s while channeling his deep admiration for The Cure through original material and covers. When the band split at the turn of the millennium, he didn’t chase another lineup. Instead, he pulled back from live performance and disappeared into songwriting. The result was 2006’s STANZE REMOTE, a self-produced experimental album soaked in ’80s new wave influence, built entirely in his home studio. Two years later, the EP DUE brought in outside musicians for a more collaborative, pop-leaning sound that picked up airplay on several radio stations. Then came 2012’s Canzoni Inedite, a collection of songs written across different periods that leaned closer to the Italian singer-songwriter tradition.
Each release shifted direction just enough to keep things unpredictable. LA STAGIONE DECISIVA continues that pattern. Across eight tracks, De Luca leans harder into keyboards and synth work than anything he’s done before, threading Synthwave textures and electronic layers through a foundation of alt-rock guitars and vocal harmonies. His influences tell the story pretty clearly. The Cure, The Smashing Pumpkins, David Bowie, New Order, Radiohead, and Franco Battiato all left their fingerprints on his approach, and this album feels like the first time he’s managed to fold all of them into the same room. He wrote, arranged, and recorded the entire album himself in a studio, which at this point feels less like a creative choice and more like the only way he knows how to work.
What gives the album its weight isn’t just the production. It’s the subject matter. De Luca has described LA STAGIONE DECISIVA as a protest record, and the targets are specific: racism, social marginalization, exploitative television, prostitution, war. Three of the eight tracks, “VIDEOSPAZZATURA,” “IL MOSTRO,” and “UN UOMO GENTILE,” are reworked versions of songs from his Sine days, rearranged to fit alongside five new compositions. The fact that protest songs he wrote over two decades ago still feel relevant says something uncomfortable about how little has actually changed.
The album opens with “VIDEOSPAZZATURA,” where layered vocal harmonies hit hard right out of the gate. Smashing guitar riffs and a driving rhythm section give the track real urgency, and the repeated chorus works like a hook you can’t shake. It’s confrontational in the best way. “IL MOSTRO” follows with distorted guitars and haunting synth lines tangled together over a stomping bass and drum groove. De Luca’s vocals walk a line between melodic and forceful, balancing aggression with clarity that keeps the emotional core intact.
The record’s quieter moments are just as effective. “LA FESTA” strips things back to a slow drum pattern, minimal bass, and warm synth textures. De Luca’s vocal delivery here is genuine and unguarded as he sings about a sad child wandering through a celebration, and the arrangement gives the lyrics room to land. It’s one of the album’s most personal tracks, and it reveals his strengths as a storyteller more than anything else on the record.
“ALLA DERIVA” pushes into more experimental territory with layered harmonies and electronic textures that twist and shift without losing cohesion. “15 ANNI” takes a nostalgic turn, built around heavy Synthwave vibes and a chorus that cuts deep with longing. “UN UOMO GENTILE” brings back the alt-rock intensity with surrounding synth atmospheres and prominent vocal echoes that add real depth. “ASPIRANTI MODELLE” continues exploring societal contradictions through warm arrangements and compelling melodic lines, while closer “IL GIORNO” fuses everything together into something that genuinely feels like end credits rolling on a film. For the last track on the record, it fits perfectly.
Even the album cover tells a story. It features a grainy, high-contrast black-and-white photo of a vintage youth football team posed on a dirt pitch, evoking a kind of mid-century nostalgia that contrasts sharply with the record’s contemporary themes. It’s a small detail, but it reinforces the album’s tension between looking back and confronting the present.
What holds all of it together is De Luca’s refusal to settle into one mode. The album moves between dark and melodic, experimental and accessible, personal and political, without ever feeling scattered. Every synth layer, every guitar texture, every arrangement choice feels intentional. For someone who’s spent most of his career working independently from a small Italian town, the level of craft here is hard to ignore.
LA STAGIONE DECISIVA is available to stream on SoundCloud and can be downloaded on Bandcamp. You can follow Marco De Luca on Facebook, X, and Instagram.

Yash Kapoor Wants His Records To Feel Like Moments, Not Just Music

Talent without consistency is just potential. Yash Kapoor figured that out the hard way. Early in his journey, the LA-based producer would wait for inspiration to strike before sitting down to work. If he felt it, he’d create. If he didn’t, he’d wait. That approach wouldn’t build the kind of career he actually wanted.
“One of the biggest things I had to learn was that being talented isn’t enough if you’re not consistent,” Kapoor says. “Showing up every day, even when the ideas feel weak, is what actually builds your skill and your voice.” It’s a lesson that shaped how he operates now, treating music like a repeatable craft rather than waiting for lightning to strike.
A Berklee College of Music graduate in Music Production and Engineering, Kapoor has spent the last several years carving out a space that blends modern pop, alternative R&B, hip-hop, and film-score sensibilities. What makes his work stand out is the intention behind it. He’s not chasing trends or trying to recreate what already exists. He’s focused on records that feel like they could only come from this specific moment but still age well.
His track “Secrets In Your Eyes” captures that approach. Built on layers of dark ambient synths, distorted textures, and massive drums, the track explores loss of identity, manipulation, and emotional surrender. It’s cinematic but vulnerable, tense but romantic. The production feels immersive without being overwhelming, with distorted yet melodic vocals sitting against atmospheric instrumentals. There’s a haunting psychological element to it, elevated by vibrant, glitchy visuals that match the hypnotic feel of the music itself.

Kapoor’s creative process starts with mood rather than concept. Sometimes it’s a chord progression, sometimes it’s a drum texture, sometimes it’s just a sound that catches his ear. From there, he builds worlds by stacking atmospheres, melodic fragments, and rhythmic pockets until the track feels like it’s breathing. “I’m big on detail,” he says. “Sometimes the difference between a good track and a great track is a half-decibel adjustment or one element being muted at the right time.”
His influences aren’t just artists but producers who shaped how records are built. Timbaland, Pharrell, Kanye, and especially the OVO and Weeknd-era sound made him obsessed with atmosphere and how the smallest decisions impact what listeners feel. Working alongside producers like DaHeala and DannyBoyStyles reinforced that. “Being around people who have shaped global records changes your perspective on what’s possible,” he says. “They operate with a level of confidence and precision that forces you to raise your own standards.”
What he learned from those experiences is that the best producers aren’t just technical. They’re visionaries who can hear the final record before it exists and guide every decision toward that. That’s the standard Kapoor holds himself to now, whether he’s producing, engineering, or working on creative direction. He wants artists to feel supported in bringing their best ideas to life, and he wants listeners to feel something real when they press play.
Right now, Kapoor is focused on building a production catalog and developing a sound identity people can recognize. There are collaborations in motion with artists he describes as serious and aligned with the type of sound he wants to build. He’s exploring new territories, blending cinematic textures, electronic influences, and modern R&B and hip-hop structures. The goal isn’t just releasing music. It’s releasing moments.
For Kapoor, it comes down to intention and emotion. “A lot of music gets made to chase a trend, but trends die quickly,” he says. “The records that last are the ones where the artist is really saying something or creating a feeling that people can return to.” That’s what he’s building toward, work that outlives the moment it came from. Not quick wins, but a catalog and a reputation that can stand in the long run.

Year after year, crowdfunding has continued to gain momentum as a renowned financial solution for startups and entrepreneurs. This trend has led to the emergence of Fundraisingscript.com, a product of Rockers Technology and a popular choice for crowdfunding software platforms.
Their journey began amid the hype of Kickstarter and GoFundMe, with a vision to provide powerful white label software that aids small businesses in launching their own crowdfunding platforms. Thanks to Fundraisingscript.com, these businesses can now hit the ground running in lieu of building a platform from scratch.
In the last decade, the company’s allegiance to business excellence has seen it sell more than 1000+ licenses. Beyond being a white label crowdfunding software provider, they offer platforms for equity, real estate, and donation-based crowdfunding. The beauty of it all? You can claim immediate ownership of your platform, its code, host it, and bypass recurring monthly subscriptions.
Fundraisingscript.com presents business owners with a plethora of choices when selecting the most fitting solution for their crowdfunding endeavors. Be it open-source software or white label solutions, each comes with its unique merits. While open source software bestows users with unfiltered access to source code modification, white label platforms possess their unique charm as well.
At the heart of white label platforms is the freedom to remove pre-existing branding on the software and supplant with distinct identifiers like logo and company name. In doing so, businesses can promptly debut a crowdfunding product in the market, substantially expediting product development time. Other perks of white label platforms include the flexibility to introduce custom features and retaining code ownership for future modifications.
It’s common knowledge that both open-source and white label solutions bear time-restricted licensing options. However, Fundraisingscript.com separates itself from the norm by offering white label platforms for a one-time cost. This translates to lifetime ownership of the software, axing the need for incremental payments.
For various crowdfunding business needs; whether they involve open source solutions, white label platforms or entirely custom crowdfunding software, Fundraisingscript.com ceaselessly offers fitting solutions.
Among their vast offering is an array of current, highly secure, and responsive crowdfunding software. A few of these offerings include donation crowdfunding software for individual and non-profit organizations; equity crowdfunding software; real estate crowdfunding software; a platform for funding green energy projects; a rewards fundraising site for startup ventures; and automated donation and workplace fundraising platforms.
The company is committed to help entrepreneurs launch innovative, user-friendly crowdfunding websites that meet their unique needs. This commitment extends to areas like rewards-based crowdfunding sites, similar to Kickstarter or Indiegogo. Their white label crowdfunding software platforms are capable of aligning with all requirements, thanks to pre-set solutions and customizable features that can integrate any third party bridal heels.
Over the years, Fundraisingscript.com has earned a soaring 4.9/5 rating on clutch.co, further asserting their reliability as a trusted source for crowdfunding software development solutions globally.
If your goal is to gaze into a crystal ball to predict the future of crowdfunding software, you likely won’t succeed. But one thing is for certain: Fundraisingscript.com is designing this future, one platform at a time. Above all, they champion the democratization of funding, fueling entrepreneurial dreams to turn into realities.
