How do you stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the coaching industry to ensure your clients receive the best guidance possible?
Staying informed about the latest trends and developments in the perimenopause coaching industry is obtained through continuous learning and networking. Understanding the nuances of coaching is done via collaboration with peers. This commitment ensures my clients receive the most current and effective guidance.
Could you share a few success stories of clients who have achieved remarkable transformations through your coaching program?
Several of my clients have experienced gaining confidence, understanding their bodies, and embracing perimenopause with a positive outlook. They have gone from not knowing or having heard the term perimenopause, to realizing that perimenopause begins earlier than they thought, not afraid when they had their first hot flash, being able to explain to their loved ones what might be occurring, and sharing their knowledge with others as well.
Many people are hesitant to seek coaching. What would you say to those who are skeptical about its benefits and the investment required?
Skepticism about coaching comes from many coaches promising unbelievable results yet not producing. There are those too that are skeptical yet they didn’t complete the recommended path provided by the coach. My emphasis is the value of guidance through life’s transitions. Coaching provides tailored support, accountability, and insights that books or generic advice cannot match. We oftentimes get what we pay for. Investments in oneself are typically worth it.
In your opinion, what are the essential qualities or characteristics that make a successful coach, and how do you nurture these traits in yourself and your clients?
Empathy stands at the core of effective coaching, enabling a deep understanding of clients’ experiences and emotions. Coupled with the ability to actively listen, it allows a coach to truly hear and comprehend the concerns, aspirations, and challenges faced by their clients. Being receptive to constructive criticism is equally crucial, as it signifies a coach’s commitment to personal and professional growth, ensuring that their methodologies remain effective and responsive to clients’ evolving needs. Treating clients with the respect, understanding, and kindness I seek in professional interactions is fundamental. This golden rule of reciprocity not only fosters a positive environment but also builds trust and rapport, essential ingredients for transformative coaching relationships.
How has your experience as an author influenced your coaching techniques and strategies?
Writing has deepened my understanding and empathy, allowing me to articulate the perimenopausal journey in ways that resonate with my clients. It has also enhanced my ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and compassionately.
What do you envision for the future of your coaching business, and how do you plan to evolve and adapt to changing market demands?
I envision my business continuing to grow and evolve, incorporating new insights, methodologies including quarterly retreats to support women through perimenopause. Adapting as more women hear and understand the subject is key. Also, staying informed about advancements in health and wellness, and being flexible in my approach.
What inspired you to start your coaching business, and what specific areas do you focus on in your coaching practice?
My inspiration came from my own journey and the realization that many women face perimenopause feeling unprepared and alone. My coaching focuses on providing support, education, and practical solutions to empower women during this significant chapter of life.
